Science in PreSchool
News from Mrs. Garrett:
Ms. Leonard taught our students opposite wet and dry, and how you can blow bubbles and stick a wet straw or finger in it and it will not pop, but if you try to stick a dry straw or finger in the bubble it will pop. The students explored wet and dry and communicated to each other their discoveries....just a few student discoveries: bubbles move on wet surface when you blow them, if you suck the air back out the bubble gets smaller, and if you blow too hard the air will pop the bubble. |

News from Mrs Christy Garrett's classroom:
The students worked in small groups to wash the sweet potatoes that Windy WIse brought our class from the farmers. After the groups of students washed the sweet potatoes, I cut them and Ms. Darter baked them. We enjoyed sweet potato fries with syrup for snack. |
The ABC students went on a "Nature Walk" as part of a learning activity to observe, question , and create a presentation. The students, working in small groups, used their eyes to see and hand to draw and describe what they had seen to create a final product.
