WELCOME TO THE MPS LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER
The Morrilton Primary Media Center has approximately 9645 volumes available for patrons. The Media Center is equipped with 15 internet accessible computer stations, 11 of which are for student use. Of the 15 computers, one is an iMac and one is a Mac Book. New technologies available in the library include an interactive white board, document cameras, digital cameras, digital video cameras, and iPads which provide many opportunities for numerous student projects.
Students visit the library with their classroom for structured lessons in library frameworks (student learning expectations). In addition to classroom scheduled times, students have the opportunity to free flow in the library media center continuously throughout the day. The library Media Center is also available for teachers to use for whole classroom instruction or individualized instruction.
New books are added to our collection monthly. Please be sure to check out our collection in OPAC. (Online Public Access Catalog). Today, January 26, 2017, we added 191 books to our collection. (New books)

MPS Guest Readers
Morrilton Primary School and Morrilton Junior High celebrated Teen Read Week with a collaborative activity on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Students from MJHS along with Mrs. Donna Horita, MJHS Media Specialist, came to MPS to read Halloween and/or Fall books to each classroom. Every kindergarten and 1st grade student had the opportunity to listen to the “teens” read to them. Our kindergarten and 1st grade thoroughly enjoyed the enthusiasm the MJHS students showed during the reading activity.
List of new books coming soon.
